2024 ADB-Sponsored Scholarship for Asian and Pacific students.

The Asian Development Bank- Japan Scholarship program (ADB-JSP) was established in the year 1988. The scholarship is aimed at granting financial relieves to students from member countries and increase human capital development. The scholarship is financed by Japan government and the programs are attainable in selected universities in Asia.

Selected field of studies:

  1. Science and tech.- Agricultural science, biological sciences, genetics, engineering, renewal energy, environmental and health sciences.
  2. Laws and public policy- International Business law, international environmental law, public administration, political science, public policy etc.
  3. Development studies- Asian- Pacific studies, development management and development studies.
  4. Business Management & Economics- E-business, entrepreneurship, economics, commerce etc 

Number of Scholarship:

135

Scholarship Cover:

  1. Full tuition,
  2. Monthly allowances,
  3. Books and provision of other instructional materials,
  4. Travel expenses and 
  5. Health Insurance.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants must: 
  1. Be a citizen of  any country of which have legal partnership with Asian Development Bank.
  2. A holder of good Bachelor's degree obtained from a recognized institution 
  3. Have at least two years post qualifications professional experiences 
  4. Have been offered admission to pursue a masters degree program in any of the partnering universities in Asia and Pacific 
  5. Not be more than 35 years of age at the time of application.
  6. Not be a holder of dual citizenship 
  7. Agree to return back to his or her home country on completion of his studies.

Method of Application:

  • Interested and qualified individuals are requested to:
  1. Collect application form from any of the institutions that are partners of this program 
  2. Complete the application form and send it to the institution 

  3. The universities shall make their evaluation and send list of selected individuals to the scholarship providers.
  4. At the end of the whole process, selected applicants shall be communicated to the universities.
