DAAD Helmut-Schmidt-Programme Postgraduate Scholarship in Germany

The DAAD Helmut-Schmidt Scholarship is one of the highly sought scholarship opportunities in Germany designed for individuals from developing countries who seek to pursue a masters degree program in some academic disciplines like social sciences, political sciences or economics. The scholarship is always refered as program for public policy and good governance.



This scholarship is targeted at developing future leaders who will be instrumental in promoting democracy, good governance and economic development in their home countries. It is available for courses starting from September/October, 2025.

Germany 

Scholarship cover:

  1. Full tuition fee 
  2. Traveling allowances 
  3. Monthly stipends for upkeep 
  4. Accomodation 
  5. Research allowances 

Criteria:

  • Applicant must be a graduate from a recognised university from all countries around the world 
  • Work experience and prove of contribution in national policy development is an added  advantage 
  • Must come from one of the eligible countries.
  • Must have demonstrated prove of strong and impressive academic performances in the undergraduate studies.
